The public is invited! Heidelberg Concert Handbell Choir will share its glorious music at the spring handbell union worship service 11 a.m. May 7 at Heidelberg Church.

Following the service, there will be a bake sale and hot dog lunch to benefit the church’s Faith Formation Sunday School.

Joyful giving! Requests for baked good donations for the Allentown Soup Kitchen are being made for May 8.

Baked good donations made with chocolate will be gratefully accepted and may be dropped off in the fellowship hall 6-7 p.m.

According to Heidelberg Church Soup Kitchen Coordinator Linda Hausamann, 153 hot meals were served recently to the hungry and homeless at the soup kitchen.

The meal included pizza, soup, garden salad, fruit and delicious homemade desserts from faithful Heidelberg bakers.

Special thanks to the volunteers of the day: Pastor Ginny Goodwin, Shirley Boger, Barbara Matthias, Robin Koch, Eleanor and Ron Klevenhagen, Colleen Andrews and Linda Hausamann.
