STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q. What grade are you in?
A. I am currently in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject is biology, but more specifically anatomy. Both of them are very interesting and practical courses that I wish to study further in college.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I have received certification for Adobe Photoshop CS6, a public speaking I award for Future Business Leaders of America, an excellence in American Studies II Honors award, an academic excellence award and a most improved player award for baseball. I am also part of National Honor Society, the German Honor Society and I have been on principal’s honor roll.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A. I have been involved in the tutor program, German club, French club, drama club, fitness team, Buzz Magazine, FBLA and the baseball team throughout my high school career. I also enjoy playing guitar and snowboarding.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. My goal after high school would be to settle into college and hopefully have a successful and memorable experience while I’m there.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. My biggest challenge to date would have to have been deciding which college that I’m going to attend. It was a very important decision and there were so many options to narrow down, but in the end I feel as if everything will work out for the best.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered for my positive influence on the class and for my sociability with others.
Q. Who is in your family?
A. My parents Linda and Mitch, my siblings Jade and Karson and my dog Blazer.
Q. Whom do you admire? Why?
A. I admire my parents and everything they have done for me ever since I was a kid because without them I’m not sure I would have become who I am today. I also admire my brother and sister because no matter where they are or what they’re doing they make me proud in more ways than one and I enjoy nothing more than watching them succeed.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. I would encourage them to challenge themselves in order to expand their horizons and also to not be so hard on themselves if something doesn’t work out as planned.
