The Emmaus High School college fair will be held 6 to 8 p.m. May 3 at the school. Approximately 170 schools and organizations attend to provide information about post-high school education. Students and their families are encouraged to attend.
The EHS Senior Ball will be held 6 to 10 p.m. May 5 at The Palace Center, 623 Hanover Ave., Allentown. The Afterball will be held at the high school following the prom 11:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. May 6.
The Afterball committee needs volunteers who are willing to be chaperones, dealers, game volunteers, golf course set-up/take down, decorations set-up/clean up, food/snack donations, monetary donations and gift card donations. The SAT test will be given 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 6 at the school.
The EHS Spring Chorus concert will be held 7:30 p.m. May 11.
The EHS Fermata and AccaBella concert will be held 7:30 p.m. May 13.
Not Just Broadway Night will be held 7 to 9 p.m. May 19 in the school auditorium.
The EHS Art Show will be held May 23.
New members are always welcome to the EHS Gay Straight Alliance Club as they meet to plan end of the year activities.
A DeSales University program allows highly motivated and talented high school students to take a course on the DeSales campus tuition free during the Fall 2017 semester. This program is for students during their senior year. See Mrs. Greene in the counseling office for details. The application deadline is May 19.
Habitat for Humanity will hold a flapjack fundraiser 8 to 10 a.m. May 27 at Applebee’s in Trexlertown.
The EHS Dance Team’s spring recital will be held 7 p.m. May 6 in the high school auditorium. There is an admission charge.
Dance Team tryouts will be held 5 to 8:30 p.m. May 16 in Cafe 1. Email Jillian.jarsocrak@gmail.com with your name and grade for tryout papers.
Support the Class of 2019 by going to Chipotle on North Krocks Road, Allentown between 4 and 8 p.m. May 24. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Class of 2019.
An admissions representative from Lehigh Carbon Community College will visit the school May 30 in the multi media room during periods five, seven and eight to meet with seniors who have already applied to the college and plan to attend in the fall. This meeting will last approximately 15 minutes for each student and will allow them to complete the admissions process (i.e., sign up for orientation, course planning and testing). Stop by the counseling office today to sign up for a time to meet with the LCCC representative and get a jump start on your college career.
