Upper Macungie Township is offering basketball for adults ages 21 and older from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays until June 8 at Jaindl Elementary School, 1051 Weilers Road, Breinigsville. Equipment is provided.

The township has partnered with USPTR certified tennis professional Brian Bleam to host adult, junior and pee-wee tennis clinics.

Session one will be May 8 to June 7. Session two is scheduled for July 10 through Aug. 9 and session three will be Aug. 14 to Sept. 14. There is a fee to attend and registration is required.

The township will be accepting applications beginning in May for its 2017 Junior Emergency Services Academy.

The academy will take place 9 a.m.-3 p.m. July 17-21 at Upper Macungie Station 56.

Enrollees must be township residents who will be 12- to 16-years-old by July 17. Class size is limited.

Ziegels Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, and Lutheran Social Services Committee are sponsoring a basket social on May 6.

Doors open 11 a.m. Drawing will be 1 p.m.

The social is in support of the Good Samaritan Fund.

The Junior Youth Group will host a tea and flower event for moms, aunts, grandmothers and their girls 11 a.m.-1 p.m. May 13.

The event will include potting plants and enjoying tea and snacks together.

Robert M. Fegely VFW Post 8282, 1522 Butz Road, Breinigsville, will be cooking up an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 7.

Breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, ham and beverages.
