Christ’s Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Road, New Tripoli, is hosting a penny party April 28.

Doors open 5:30 p.m. Game starts at 7 p.m.

This event will feature a 50/50 drawing and food will be available.

The Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry is open 9-11 a.m. the first Saturday of each month and 4-6:30 p.m. the third Thursday of each month.

Senior citizens will be served 10 a.m. to noon the prior Wednesday.

Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having a used clothing drive until June 4.

They are collecting usable and wearable clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children for all seasons.

They are also collecting household items made of fabric and in good condition as well as soft, hard toys and children’s activity sets.

Hard toys should fit a box 24 inches by 24 inches by 21 inches.

No books, VCR tapes, CDS, kitchen appliances or furniture will be accepted.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is hosting Arbor Day April 29 and National Ferret Day April 30 at the zoo.

Arbor Day is a day dedicated to the conservation and education of trees.

The first 500 families through the gates will receive a free tree sapling to take home and plant.

Bat Appreciation Day will be May 6. Smarts and Crafts is scheduled for May 7.

There will be an exciting line up of hands on interactive experiences, daily keeper talks and up close encounters with some favorite animals during the Zoo’s Wonders of Wildlife encounters.

The Zoo will be hosting Cinco De Mayo along with raising awareness for the Vaquita porpoise and Mexican Gray Wolf on May 5.

There will be an assortment of exciting educational messaging coupled with a live-feeding in the zoo’s wolf exhibit.
