A Whitehall Township candidates forum will be held April 26 in Zentz Community Center at Fellowship Community, 3020 Fellowship Drive, Whitehall.

The event has been organized by Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce.

Doors open 6 p.m. The program will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Audience members will submit questions for the candidates to answer. Each candidate will have time to address the audience.

There is no cost to attend.

Six candidates - three Republicans and three Democrats - will appear on the ballot for seats on the Whitehall Township Board of Commissioners in the May 16 primary election. Voters will choose not more than three.

Republican candidates include Antonio A. Pineda, Ron Sterner and Kerry S. Kramer.

Democratic candidates include Shawn E. Clary, Thomas Slonaker and Joseph J. Marx Jr.

There are two candidates vying for the position of tax collector. Both are Democrats. Voters will choose one.

Candidates are Colleen Gober and Edward F. Koren.
