Penn States Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners are offering the following classes in Lehigh and Northampton counties.
Rain Barrel Workshop
Save water by installing a rain barrel. On April 22, join Master Gardeners and Master Watershed Stewards for a Rain Barrel Workshop at the Whitehall Township Building Public Works Garage, 3219 MacArthur Blvd, Whitehall.
The workshop will guide participants through the process of constructing a fully functioning rain barrel.
Hot Pots
Learn how to add more color inside and out with container gardens.
This workshop will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 27 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 4601 Tilghman St., South Whitehall.
Garden speaker Kirk Brown will review all the elements and principles of design to create convenient and contemporary containers in five easy steps.
From siting and selection to soil improvements and water tips, this program will suggest lifestyle additions for maximum garden impact.
Bug Bingo Plant a Flower Children’s Workshop
Join our Master Gardeners for a free children’s workshop 10-11 a.m. May 13 at the Burnside Plantation, Bethlehem.
They’ll have Bug Bingo for the kids to learn interesting facts about bugs and just in time for Mother’s Day, participants will decorate a container, plant a flower and personalize a note card. This workshop is geared for children ages 6 to 12.
