STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite subject is history, since it lends so much insight into the world situation today.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: I am an Eagle Scout, captain of the Scholastic Scrimmage team, a recipient of the Rensselaer Medal and RIT Computing Medal, a National Merit Commended Scholar, a member of National Honor Society and Order of the Arrow.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: I participate in Debate, Scholastic Scrimmage, Model United Nations, concert band, jazz band and the Boy Scouts.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: I hope to graduate from either Penn State’s Schreyer Honors College or Cornell with a major in computer science and a minor in German.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: My greatest challenge has been balancing extracurriculars with my heavy course load.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I want to be remembered for the service I gave to my community and my leadership in the teams and organizations of which I am a part.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: My mother Rebecca, my father Michael, my younger brother Aaron, and my cat Tiberius.

Q: Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I look up to Miss Quigg, my eighth-grade English teacher and her ability to make such a great impact on so many people’s lives.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: Keeping a level head and not letting the stress of school become overwhelming are difficult, but essential.
