An Allentown youth is dead after a shooting in Lower Macungie Township April 8.

Chris Perez, 17, of the 400 block of N. 15th Street, was identified in a media release from the County of Lehigh Office of the Coroner and Forensics Center. Perez was pronounced dead 4:37 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus, Salisbury Township. An autopsy was scheduled April 10 to determine the cause and manner of death.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville, a shooting was reported to have occurred at a residence in the 3900 block of Orchard Drive, Lower Macungie Township, at approximately 3:15 p.m. The incident was determined to involve several juveniles and was reported to be accidental in nature. The investigation is continuing, according to police.
