A Macungie man was taken into custody overnight March 22 after allegedly fleeing from police following a car chase and crash, according to Pennsylvania State Police Reading.

A felony warrant had been issued for Rodney McDonald, 36, of the 100 block of Hunter Forge Road, for allegedly fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and related charges.

According to a media release from Pennsylvania State Police Reading, a trooper attempted to stop a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee being operated by the accused in Topton Borough 11:45 a.m. March 22.
