Over the weekend of March 10-12 the Allentown Central Catholic High School Music Department traveled to historic American landmarks to tour and perform.
The concert band, color guard and chorus performed at both Jamestown and Yorktown, then visited colonial Williamsburg.
After leaving Virginia, the group traveled north to Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Md., the birthplace of “The Star Spangled Banner.” All those who participated in the trip had an exciting and educational experience.
The National Honor Society annual coffee house is scheduled 6 p.m. April 5. Tickets will be sold at the door. T-shirts and baked goods will also be sold at the event. All funds raised will benefit National Honor Society at ACCHS.
All juniors who successfully applied for membership in National Honor Society will be inducted April 19. Members of the senior class who qualified over the past year will be inducted as well. Selection for National Honor Society is based on scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Central Catholic students will have 1 p.m. early dismissal April 7 due to a faculty retreat.
Easter break begins April 13 and continues through April 17.
