STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q: What grade are you in?
A: I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: My favorite subject is science, specifically biology. I love biology because learning about the basic functions of life and how life is maintained is extremely interesting to me. Also, studying biology offers many hands on experiences with labs that I enjoy.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A: I am on high honor roll and received a merit scholarship to attend Susquehanna University.
Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A: I am involved with Students Against Destructive Decisions, National Honor Society and I am class president. Additionally, I am a member of the scholastic scrimmage team, twirling team and race 270cc micro sprints.
Q: What is your next goal after high school?
A: I intend on furthering my education at Susquehanna University to study biomedical sciences in order to pursue a career in dentistry.
Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?
A: My biggest challenge so far in high school has been figuring out how to effectively manage my time in order to successfully balance my academics, athletics and my part-time job.
Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: I want to be remembered for being a great student and an active member of my class. I want my peers to remember me for my dedication to the class and all I did as my time as president.
Q: Who is in your family?
A: My family consists of my father, LeRoy my mother, Leigh and older sister, Rachel.
Q: Do you have someone you look up to?
A: I look up to my sister, Rachel, due to her academic achievements.
Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?
A: Never settle for average because no one strives to live an average life. You are capable of achieving great things as long as you are passionate and work hard for what you want.
