The Schnecksville Grange, 5322 Route 873, will have its spring flea market and bake sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on April 8. Vendors will be set up with toys, books, collectibles, household items and more.
The kitchen will be open with homemade soup, barbecues and hot dogs to purchase for lunch.
Adam Kern, who has taken over as organizer of the event, reports a few new items have been added to the day’s program.
There will be live acoustic music, games and children’s activities such as face painting, and an appearance by Pit Stop the clown.
Kern is pastor of The Vine Church, which meets at the Grange Hall Sunday evenings.
People are invited to come for a potluck community meal at 5 p.m. The church service begins 5:45 p.m. upstairs.
A Schnecksville native, Kern studied at Calvary Chapel Bible College in California and served as a youth pastor in the Lehigh Valley.

Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, begins Holy Week April 9, Palm Sunday, with a collection of clothing, including uniforms, for children in the Allentown School District.
A special way of remembering the needs of others, the clothing will be placed along the aisle, just as people long ago spread out palm branches for Jesus’ path.
Union Lutheran will have Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services, 7 p.m. April 13 and 14. Easter worship times are 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will host a potluck discipleship meal 6-8 p.m. Maundy Thursday, April 13.
The evening includes hand-washing and meditations.
On Good Friday, April 14, the Tenebrae service begins at 7 p.m.
Easter Day begins with a 6:15 a.m. sunrise service at the cemetery.
Worship times will be 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will commemorate The Last Supper 7:30 p.m. April 13 with communion around a table.
The Good Friday service, 7:30 p.m. April 14 includes readings, extinguishing of candles and darkening of the sanctuary.
Easter sunrise worship begins 7 a.m. in the sanctuary, then proceeds to the cemetery, weather permitting.
Easter breakfast, April 16, will be served 7:50-8:45 a.m. The meal includes hot egg dishes, plus homemade yogurt, cereal and beverages.
The 10:15 a.m. worship service on Easter features a Living Cross, adorned with fresh flowers brought forward by members during the first hymn.
The Keenagers seniors group will meet at St. John’s 1 p.m. on April 18. Visitors and new members are welcome to attend.
