We recently attended the Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts where Ben received his Arrow of Light and crossed over to Boy Scouts. With two older sisters, Ben receives a lot of unsolicited and, probably, unwanted mothering. Lydia, Caroline and Ben all went through the buffet line and were seated with their food by the time I made it back to the table. I took one look at Ben’s plate and said, “Go put some vegetables on your plate.” Lydia and Caroline both started laughing and said, “See, Ben, we told you to get some vegetables!” At that point, Ben resigned himself to his fate and got some green beans!
