There will be an Easter Eggstravaganza Vendor Fair 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 9 at Macungie Memorial Hall. There will be direct sales vendors, crafters, baked goods, refreshments, kids activities and door prizes. For more information, call Jennifer at 267-382-9740.

Egg decorating for the Easter egg hunt will take place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15 at Macungie Memorial Park.

There will be photos with the Easter Bunny 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15 at the Flower Park. The event is sponsored by the Town Beautification Committee.

The Macungie Easter Egg Hunt will take place 2 p.m. April 16 at Macungie Memorial Park.

Grace Lutheran Church, 23 W. Main St. will hold an Easter egg hunt 1 p.m. April 15.

The Emmaus Lions would like to thank all who attended and supported the “Nite at the Races” fundraiser.

The Parkland Art League will hold its next meeting at the Macungie Institute 7 p.m. April 11 with artist Karel Mikolas demonstrating figure drawing in charcoal.

There will be a free electronics recycling and document shredding day for Macungie and Alburtis Borough residents only 9 a.m. to noon (or until the trucks are full) April 29 at Macungie Memorial Park. There is a fee for some items.

Concordia Lutheran Church will hold a ribbon cutting and building dedication 1 p.m. April 29 featuring the Emmaus High School Choir, food, tours and open house. We recently attended the Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts where Ben received his Arrow of Light and crossed over to Boy Scouts. With two older sisters, Ben receives a lot of unsolicited and, probably, unwanted mothering. Lydia, Caroline and Ben all went through the buffet line and were seated with their food by the time I made it back to the table. I took one look at Ben’s plate and said, “Go put some vegetables on your plate.” Lydia and Caroline both started laughing and said, “See, Ben, we told you to get some vegetables!” At that point, Ben resigned himself to his fate and got some green beans!
