Thank you everyone who came to support the Mud Club’s “Empty Bowls” event. Many of you have a beautiful bowl to commemorate our combined efforts to alleviate hunger in this community. If you missed coming out to the event you can still contribute and take away a beautiful bowl. We have many choices and bowls will be displayed for two weeks on the Mud Club cart in Room 520. Come throughout the day to get a bowl and to donate to the cause.
Any junior who is strongly considering attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for college should add his/her name to a list in the counseling office to be considered for the Rensselaer Medal. The EHS counselors may nominate one qualified student to receive this award upon acceptance to RPI senior year. The award is worth a minimum of $25,000 each year in scholarship funds. To be considered, the student must be in the top 10 percent of the junior class and should be taking four years of math and science including biology, chemistry and lab-based physics. The deadline is April 13 to submit one’s name for consideration to the counseling office.
Time is running out to purchase the 2017 EHS yearbook. Visit the website www.smart-pay.com to order a copy.
