April 5

The Ancient Oaks Women’s Organization will hold its monthly meeting 6:30 p.m. April 5 at St. Paul’s UCC in Trexlertown. The Stuff and Stuff meeting will begin with ethnic covered dishes followed by stuffing Easter eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt.

April 6

Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon at St. Timothy Church, 140 S. Ott St., Allentown. The Happy Boombadeers will perform. Non-members and guests are welcome. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Allentown Food Bank. For more information, call 610-437-4265.

April 8

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center. The event will include games, singing and dancing. Bring a camera to take pictures. Registration is required. Contact the community center for details at 610-966-6924.

Ancient Oaks Women’s Organization Easter Egg Hunt 2 p.m. at Church Lane Park. Bring a basket for gathering. The rain date is April 9.

Earth Day community cleanup 8:30 a.m. to noon at Emmaus Community Park. The event will be held rain or shine and is sponsored by the Borough of Emmaus and Upper Milford Township Joint Environmental Advisory Council. Kiwanis Club of Emmaus 65th Annual Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. rain or shine at Emmaus Community Park, 13th and Broad streets, Emmaus. There are five age groups including toddlers through age 10. Over-the-top egg hunt with games, prizes, music, puppets, balloons, face painting and over 3,000 eggs for children ages toddlers through sixth grade, but the event is for the whole family, 10 a.m. to noon at Emmanuel Assembly of God, 1431 Lehigh Parkway East, Allentown. Upper Milford Western District Fire Co. #1, 6341 Chestnut St., Zionsville, annual Easter egg hunt, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A special appearance by the Easter Bunny as well as fire truck tours, kids activities, face painting, light refreshments and a basket raffle are planned. A men’s egg hunt is also planned. Egg hunts begin 1 p.m.

Photos with the Easter Bunny 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Flower Park in Macungie. The event is sponsored by the Town Beautification Committee.

April 16

The Macungie Easter Egg Hunt will take place 2 p.m. at Macungie Memorial Park.

April 19

Emmaus Historical Society meets 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Lindsay Dierolf will tell the story of the “Boyertown Rhoads Opera House Fire” from Jan. 13, 1908 when 170 lives were lost. Props and photos will be displayed.

Alburtis Area 55+ seniors meet noon at Church of the Good Shepherd for a pot luck luncheon and bingo. Find out about the many bus trips throughout the year. For more information, call 610-966-4996.

The Lehigh Valley Guild of Craftsmen is sponsoring a Redware Sgraffito Workshop at The Macungie Institute, 510 E. Main St., Macungie, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Denise Wilz will teach the workshop.

Community Day at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center 4 to 8 p.m. Discover all that Lower Macungie Township has to offer with fun activities for all ages. Bring a camera to take pictures with a Minion.

May 6

Emmaus Historical Society will accept yard sale donations during regular museum hours. Also May 7, 13 and 14. If unable to bring items during those times, call the museum at 610-966-6591 to make a mutually convenient drop-off time. Donations will not be accepted after 2 p.m. May 14.

June 4
