Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, is having a basket social 6-8 p.m. on April 7 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 8.
Drawing will be 2 p.m. April 8. Participants do not need to be present to win.
Special raffles and a 50/50 will also be available for purchase.
Donate a basket by April 2 and be entered into a special raffle.
Bring a canned item for the food bank or for The Sanctuary of Haafsville and receive a free raffle ticket.
Refreshments will be available for purchase.

The church is accepting orders until April 9 for its hoagie sale. Pickup will be 4-6 p.m. on April 18.
Choose between regular with everything or no onions or peppers; or ham and cheese, turkey, roast beef, tuna or veggie.
Hoagies are by Thomson’s Meat Market, Walnutport.

Lehigh Valley Zoo, 5150 Game Preserve Road, Schnecksville, is hosting a Reptile and Amphibian Discovery Weekend April 1 and 2.
Guests will have the chance to meet members of the Zoo’s Education and Animal departments and learn about the lifestyles, habitats, behaviors, diet and conservation status of various reptiles and amphibians while getting an up close and personal experience with different species in the Zoo’s RAD Center.
There will be a variety of games and crafts.
National Bird Watching weekend at the Zoo will be April 8 and 9.
The Zoo’s Spring is Sprouting Camp for kids ages 4-10 will take place 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on April 14 and 17.
Children will learn about the different plants and animals that are preparing for warmer weather.
Each fun filled day includes up close animal encounters, zoo tours, nature hikes, crafts, games and more.
Register early to ensure a space.

The Christ’s Church at Lowhill Food Pantry is open 9-11 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month and 4-6:30 p.m. the third Thursday of each month.
Senior citizens are served 10 a.m. to noon the prior Wednesday.
The food pantry, serving residents of Heidelberg, Lowhill, Lynn and Weisenberg townships, accepts donations between 9-11 a.m. the last Saturday and the third Tuesday of each month and by appointment.
Donations may also be dropped off at both New Tripoli Banks and ESSA Bank.
