A 24-year-old male was fatally injured March 25 when his motorcycle struck a concrete barrier on State Route 309 at the Interstate 78 east overpass in Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Baher Raafat Eskander, of the 800 block of Sherman St., Allentown, was identified by police as the man who died.
Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Jackie Seidman pronounced Eskander dead at the scene, according to a media release.
According to police, Eskander was traveling south on State Route 309 and attempting to negotiate a left curve. Eskander allegedly lost control of his 2001 Honda CBR600 motorcycle and struck the right concrete barrier. According to police, Eskamder was ejected from the motorcycle and died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The cause of death is attributed to multiple traumatic injuries and the manner of death was ruled an accident, according to a media release from the coroner’s office.
The accident happened at approximately 12:47 p.m.
Fogelsville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
