N.A.R.C. Crime Watch members watch video

Twenty-nine members attended the February Neighbors Are Reporting Crime Watch meeting at the Greenawalds Fire Company, South Whitehall.

Township Patrol Office Jason Grozier read the Crime Watch report and reported this year there were 880 crime incidents vs. 952 last year at this time.

A video “What To Do if Stopped by the Police” was shown.

Slowing down and pulling over to the side of the road were advised.

One Crime Watch member told of a phone call scam he received and advised the membership not to reply “yes” because it can lead to identity theft problems.

Police will be installing children’s car seats July 1 at Target and National Night Out will take place Aug. 1.

If schools are closed because of weather or by early dismissal, there will be no Crime Watch meeting.
