Eyer Middle School will present Disney’s “High School Musical Jr.” 7 p.m. March 23 and 24 and 2 and 7 p.m. March 25.

The show is presented through special arrangement with and all authorized materials supplied by Music Theatre International.

The play is directed by Jennifer Najarian and Jacque Swauger. The musical director is Lindsay Super, the choreographer is Najarian, the technical director is Matt Krempasky, the costume director is Blaire Blaufarb, set designers are Nicole Whittaker, Anne Kukitz and David Willett and ticket sales were handled by Diane Kelly.

The musical takes place at East High School and involves a number of cliques. The adventures of a couple from two of the cliques follow the students dealing with issues of love, friends and family while handling classes and extracurricular activities.

The cast includes Adam Burkholder, Rosie Holderith, Rachel Knappenberger, Kyle Chandler, Bailey Tietz, Cameron Carter, Payton McGlory, Quinn Erk, Rylee Andrayko, Shannon Stewart, Grace Comfort, Christian Mendieta, Arianna Bailey, Hailey Zavecz, Pandora Schoen, Maggie Machulsky, Julia Marks, Dawson Budick, Johnny Cannone, Kayla Kelly, Laura Sheaffer, Kalin Mattern, Alice Frank, Elaine McAllister and Maddie Hess.

The Jocks are Budick, Natasha Adrienne, Cassie Yard, Ellie Ervin, Riley Stuckey, Danica Schueck and Kyle Barkis.

The Brainiacs are Gabby Ward, Kelly, Avery Worley, Hailey Wills, Hess, Ella Wiese, Jonas Hausmann and Zachary Ritter.

The Rebels are Cassidy Zorman, Madeline Carlson, Ariana Kompa, Gabi Kutz, Cassandra Schmidt and Kalin Mattern.

The featured dancers are Aubrie Pavlacka, Raegan Torrence, Anna Van Ormer, Kara Liu, Sofia Folino, Addy Silfies, Mandie Salomon and Solomia Lapko.

Members of the Ensemble include: Andrew Mory, Briahna Milander, McAllister, Evelyn Buck, Hailey Johnson, Johnny Cannone, Laura Sheaffer, Megyn Herman, Rachel Loring, Alandra Pilarski, Baileigh Mount, Caroline Laubach, Erica Smith, Fatima N’Diaye, Indira Tatikola, Kailey Alderfer, Madailein Gavin, Natalie Hummell, Sachi Price, Frank, Brett Pevec, Colette Levinson, Estella Andrews, Giana Pistoria, Jocelyn Chow, Kyleigh Black, Maura Yablonski, Ping Wang and Tamara Ramos.

Stage managers are Brandt Ryan and Morgan Suppes. Director’s assistants are Alex Schaaf, Gabby Jesmain. Assistant choreographers are Isabella Kun and Paige Peterson.

The sound for the show is handled by Zack Zegalia, Cole Stauffer, Michael Iacobelli and Jasmine Wang. Lighting is handled by Gwen Simons.

Stage hands are Matt Kershner, Oliver Buck and Mikayla Anastasio. Spotlights are operated by Austin Philhower, Adithi Katikhaneni and Zach Ryan.

Morgan Fried handled art design and Megan Walsh is the playbill assistant and head usher.

“Disney’s ‘High School Musical Jr.’ has been one of our most requested shows over the past five years and we are delighted to finally be presenting the stage version of such a beloved movie,” Najarian and Swauger said. “We believe the show’s messages, about not giving in to peer pressure and about pursuing your dreams, are especially appropriate for a middle school crowd.”

The directors said the students had fun working on the show.

“We appreciate the dedication of our students and their families over the long weeks of rehearsal,” the directors said. They also thanked the audience “for supporting the arts in public education.”
