LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q: What grade are you in?

A: I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.

Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?

A: My favorite subject in school has always been math. It makes sense to me and I find it fascinating. I enjoy working with numbers.

Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A: For soccer I received the Lehigh Valley Scholar Athlete award and the Lehigh Valley Live Player of the Year award. I also received First Team All-State, First Team All-Area and First Team All-League recognition. I was offensive MVP in my junior and senior year and I helped win a district title my senior year. I now hold the all-time assist record for Salisbury boys soccer. I was a Future Business Leaders of America Regional winner all four years of high school.

Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A: I am on the varsity soccer and tennis teams. I am the president of National Honor Society, secretary of Key Club and treasurer of student government. I am also involved with student advisory and a member of the Scholastic Scrimmage team.

Q: What is your next goal after high school?

A: My next goal after high school is to continue my education at a four-year university and study business.

Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?

A: I would say my biggest challenge so far has been balancing academics and athletics throughout my childhood. It has been difficult to go to soccer practice at night and get all of my homework done, but it has taught me valuable time management skills.

Q: What do you want to be remembered for?

A: I want to be remembered for my work ethic and humility.

Q: Who is in your family?

A: My family consists of my parents, Joe and Bonnie, my brother Ben, my sister Meredith and my dog Millie.

Q. Do you have someone you look up to?

A: I look up to my grandfather because he worked very hard to get where he is today. He was able to start his own business and become mayor of Allentown. He is definitely an inspiration for me and I have always looked up to him.

Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?

A: One piece of advice I have for my peers is to live in the moment and don’t stress out too much about the future. It all works out in the end if you try your hardest.
