SALISBURY POLICE

Officers from the Salisbury Township Police Department were dispatched to the 3200 block of Douglas Road in Salisbury Township in response to a burglary in progress 4:02 a.m. March 8. A witness reports two males were observed running up and down Douglas Road trying to enter vehicles parked in the area. A nearby residence garage door was then opened and the two males were seen going inside the garage and removing items. The items were then placed inside the bed of a white Dodge pickup truck. The witness confronted one of the juveniles and detained him as the police arrived. The other male remains unidentified and fled the area in a silver Honda with an unknown registration. This investigation has revealed there are several additional victims of theft from vehicles in this and surrounding areas.

The police department is requesting anyone who has any information regarding this incident, or anyone who has been a victim of a vehicle break-in to contact Detective Kevin J. Kress at 610-797-1447 or 610-437-5252.

Kathleen Weltner, 30, of Saylorsburg, was charged with retail theft from a pharmacy at Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, 12:31 p.m. March 3. Weltner allegedly stole several personal care items valued at $44.12. She was taken to Central Booking for processing.

A resident in the 1200 block of Taft Avenue reported 7:21 p.m. March 5, an unknown person broke the glass/screen on the rear door to a residence. Nothing was taken and there was no one in the home.

Evan Rosado, 23, of Allentown, was charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended following a traffic stop along Cedar Crest Boulevard 8:16 p.m. March 6. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Representatives of Hope UCC Church, 1031 Flexer Ave., Allentown, reported 9:45 a.m. March 6 an unknown person damaged a concrete bench chipping away at the concrete.

A resident in the 1000 block of Louise Lane reported 7:44 a.m. March 7, an unknown person rummaged through an unlocked vehicle on the property. Nothing was taken.

A resident in the 800 block of Flexer Avenue reported 9:58 a.m. March 7, an unknown person entered an unlocked vehicle on the property. Nothing was taken.

A resident in the 3000 block of Lanze Lane reported 8 a.m. March 8, the outside door of a vehicle was ajar, the glove box was open and nothing was taken.

A resident in the 300 block of East Rock Road reported 8:24 a.m. March 8, a vehicle was entered; nothing was taken.

A resident in the 2300 block of Spring Lane reported 8 a.m. March 8, vehicles on the property were gone through; nothing was taken.

A resident in the 2600 block of West Rock Road reported 8 a.m. March 8, a vehicle was entered; nothing was taken.

A resident in the 2400 block of West Rock Road reported 10 a.m. March 8, a vehicle was entered; nothing was taken.

A resident in the 1100 block of Bellair Drive reported 9:35 a.m. March 7 an unknown person rummaged through a vehicle on the property and removed $5 in cash. There were no signs of forced entry.

A resident in the 20 block of East Rock Road reported 8:30 a.m. March 8, a hunting knife valued at $50 was removed from a vehicle.

A resident in the 3100 block of Douglas Road reported 8:10 a.m. March 8, a vehicle was entered and $5 in change was removed. There was no damage to the car.

A resident in the 3100 block of Douglas Road reported 10:20 a.m. March 8, a vehicle was entered and $50 in change and a Garmin GPS valued at $150 were removed.

Javier Aviles-Rosado, 47, of Allentown, was charged with allegedly carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property, driving while license was suspended, unauthorized use of a license plate, expired vehicle registration and driving without insurance following a traffic stop in the 3000 block of South Pike Avenue 5:14 a.m. March. 9. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.

Police were called to a burglar alarm in the 3300 block of Lehigh Street 11:19 p.m. March 3.

Police were called to a burglar alarm in the 2700 block of Green Acres Drive 3:51 p.m. March 4.

Police were called to a fire alarm in the 1500 block of Lehigh Parkway 9 a.m. March 4.

Police were called to a burglar alarm in the 2200 block of Yorkshire Circle 2:52 p.m. March 5.

Police were called to a burglar alarm in the 3300 block of Lehigh Street 1:36 p.m. March 5.

Police were called to a hold up alarm in the 1100 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard 5:20 p.m. March 7.

Police were called to a burglar alarm in the 1100 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard 7:48 p.m. March 7.

Police were called to a burglar alarm in the 1900 block of Nottingham Road 11:12 a.m. March 8.

Police were called to a burglar alarm in the 1000 block of Buckingham Drive 4:05 p.m. March 8.

Police were called to a fire alarm in the 1200 block of South Cedar Crest Boulevard 6:45 a.m. March 8.
