State Police Beat

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say a 44-year-old female resident of the 6400 block of Peters Road, Heidelberg Township, reported a bottle of medication worth $94.59 was stolen sometime between 9 a.m. Feb. 22 and 6 p.m. the next day from her apartment.

Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact state police at 610-861-2026.

State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Barbara A. Kirchner, 73, of Danielsville, was driving a 2004 Toyota RAV 4 when it was struck by a tree 4:15 p.m. Feb. 25 on Main Street, Washington Township.

According to police, Kirchner was driving in the westbound lane of Main Street, as a tree from the right side of the roadway collapsed onto her vehicle’s roof.

After impact, Kirchner moved her vehicle to the right shoulder of Main Street eastbound.

Kirchner, who was wearing her seat belt, was not injured, police say.

RAV 4 sustained moderate damaged to its roof and front windshield.

State Police Troop L Reading say a juvenile male student was charged with making terroristic threats after a handwritten note was found 8:35 a.m. March 7 in a bathroom at Brandywine Heights High School, 103 Old Topton Road, Longswamp Township, Berks County.

According to police, the note indicated a bomb was going to go off that day at a specific time in the high school.

A juvenile male student was quickly identified .

He allegedly admitted to writing the note, police say.

He was charged through the juvenile court system with making terroristic threats and causing or risking a catastrophe, both felonies, say police.
