STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Q: What grade are you in?
A: I am in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q: What is your favorite subject? Why?
A: I enjoy all of my classes this year, but most especially enjoy history. I enjoy learning about the past and the many lessons history has to offer.
Q: Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A: I was given the 2016 Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Leadership and Character and have had the honor of achieving several other awards through Debate, Model United Nations, Future Business Leaders of America and swimming. I am also a member of National Honor Society.
Q: Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?
A: I am involved with Salisbury’s Debate, Model United Nations, Scholastic Scrimmage and FBLA teams. I am a captain of the Salisbury varsity swim team and swam on the team all four years of high school.
Q: What is your next goal after high school?
A: I hope to attend college and possibly study economics.
Q: What would you say your biggest challenge has been so far?
A: Sometimes it is difficult to choose whether to finish a project or go to sleep.
Q: What do you want to be remembered for?
A: I hope that I am remembered for a commitment to excellence and for pushing and leading my peers to success.
Q: Who is in your family?
A: My parents are named Stephen and Lynn. I have a brother Michael, sisters Ruby and Eliza and a dog named Henry.
Q: Do you have someone you look up to?
A: I look up to my grandparents because of their tremendous achievements in the face of adversity and difficult circumstances.
Q: Do you have any advice for your peers?
A: It never hurts to get involved in a club or activity and gives you so many fun and exciting opportunities.
