The PIAA Regional Wrestling Championships were held Friday and Saturday. District 11 grapplers competed in the Class 3A Northeast Regional at Liberty High School and the Class 2A Southeast Regional at Reading’s Wilson-West Lawn High School.

The top four finishers in 3A earned a trip to the state championships, which begin Thursday at Hershey’s Giant Center. Class 2A’s top six regional finishers will move on to states.

Bethlehem Catholic crowned four district champs and will send 10 grapplers to the state championships as the Golden Hawks won the team titles with 202.5 points. Nazareth was second at 184.

Niko Camacho (285), Ryan Anderson (126), Ryan Zeiner (152) and Michael Labriola (170) all won district titles for the Bethlehem Catholic, while teammate Jarred Papcsy (132), Kenny Herrmann (113), Luke Carty (145) and Zach Glenn (120) took third place. Bethlehem Catholic’s Jody Crouse (195) and Luca Frinzi (138) placed fourth at regionals.

Northampton finished in third place as a team with 132.5 points. The Kids crowned a pair of champs in Julian Chlebove (120) and KJ Fentermacher (132). Teammate Daniel Moran (138) took second place, while Cade Moisey (170) finished third and Devon Britton (145) and Sam Hanley (106) earned fourth-place finishes.

Liberty got fifth place as a team (92.5) with four state qualifiers. Luke Werner (120) earned the silver medal at regionals, while teammates Anthony Emig (third place at 160), Dame Moyer (third place at 182) and Gunner Anglovich (fourth place at 170) will join Werner in Hershey.

Freedom crowned one champ and will send a pair of Patriots to Hershey. Evan Callahan (220) emerged victorious from his bracket and Ryan Deloach (182) took second place to help their team to an 11th-place finish (51 points).

Parkland will send two wrestlers to states. Nathan Feyrer (182) moves on with a second-place finish, while Zach Ortman (138) finished third to help the Trojans to a 16th-place finish with 37 points.

Emmaus will send one wrestler to states as Reed Custer (160) got fourth place Saturday.

In the Class 2A Southeast Regional, Catasauqua’s Benjamin Nosal finished in fifth place at 220 to earn a trip to states.
