Meet and greet for Cyclists for Hope - 2017 ride information night 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Funk Brewing Co., Sixth Street, Emmaus. Learn about the American Cancer Society fifth annual Pennsylvania Hope Ride scheduled June 24 and 25 and other regional American Cancer Society rides. Lite fare from Switchback Pizza will be provided. Beer tastings will also be available.

Ochs will discuss how many figures present in classic fairy tales, such as the damsel in distress, the knight in shining armor, the evil stepmother and several others, continue to influence everything from entertainment to the social norms used to define what is good and bad 6 p.m. at Lower Macungie Township Library. Where did these caricatures come from and how historically accurate are these archetypes we hold so dear? Advance registration is requested.
