Seton Hall University

Seton Hall University is pleased to announce the following students qualified for the fall 2016 dean’s list. To make this list, students must have at least a 3.4 GPA and can get no grade lower than a C.

COCC

Alexander Greenberg, of Catasauqua, has achieved dean’s list status at Central Oregon Community College for the fall 2016 semester. To receive this honor, students must be enrolled in 12 or more graded credits and receive a term GPA of 3.60 or better.

Hofstra University

Foyinsi Adegbonmire, of Whitehall, excelled during the fall 2016 semester at Hofstra University, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the dean’s list.

Hofstra University is a nationally ranked private university just 25 miles from New York City and all its cultural, recreational and professional opportunities. The College of Saint Rose

The College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y., congratulates Jenna Hopper, of Northampton, for being named to the dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester. Hopper is one of 751 students to achieve this mark of academic excellence. To make the dean’s list, Hopper had to complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester GPA of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail.

Lycoming College

Christopher Mathur, of Bath, a junior anatomy and physiology major, was named to the dean’s list at Lycoming College for the fall 2016 semester. The dean’s list is issued at the close of each semester in recognition of superior scholarship. Students make the dean’s list if they complete at least 12 semester hours and earn a minimum GPA of 3.50 for the semester.

Stevenson University

Stevenson University congratulates Christina Endy, of Whitehall, for being named to the dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester. Students who earn the dean’s list honor must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.50 or better.

Albright College

Paula Azar, of Whitehall, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational behavior/applied psychology from Albright College during the 2016 winter commencement ceremony Dec. 17, 2016. Diplomas were presented by President Lex O. McMillan III, Ph.D. Victor H. Hammel, chairman of Rentokil North America and the retired president of J.C. Ehrlich Co. Inc., delivered the address.

UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH

Maximilian Beedle, of Whitehall, has been named to the honor list and dean’s honor list for the fall 2016 term in the Swanson School of Engineering at University of Pittsburgh. Beedle is a senior, majoring in civil engineering. He is the son of David and Laura Beedle. Students who earn this designation earned a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

TEMPLE UNIVERSITY

James Scheuren, of Whitehall, was named to the fall 2016 dean’s list at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management. To qualify for the designation, a student must achieve a semester GPA of 3.62 or better.

Shippensburg University

Students have been named recently to the dean’s list at Shippensburg University for the fall 2016 semester. The dean’s list is an honor roll of full-time students who have achieved academic excellence as evidenced by earning a semester quality-point average of 3.30 or better or part-time students who have earned a quality-point average of 3.30 or better in the last 15 or more consecutive credits. A total of 2,161 students were named to the dean’s list for this semester.

Shippensburg University

A total of 291 undergraduates and 118 graduate students earned degrees at Shippensburg University at the conclusion of the fall 2016 semester.

Lafayette College

Lafayette College students were named to the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2016 semester. Each student achieved at least a 3.60 semester GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Lafayette College, Easton, is a top liberal arts college with 2,450 students and 215 full-time faculty that offers a wide variety of undergraduate degree programs including engineering.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Min Hua H. Mai, of Whitehall, has been named to the fall 2016 dean’s list at Boston University.

Each school and college at Boston University has its own criterion for the dean’s list, but students generally must attain a 3.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or be in the top 30 percent of their class, as well as be a full-time student.

Founded in 1839, Boston University is an internationally recognized institution of higher education and research.
