Splashing across the stage at Moravian Academy’s Dyer Auditorium, “Urinetown” is described as “a hilarious musical satire skewering a variety of contemporary ideas and issues, including musical theater itself.”
Directed by Jarrod Yuskauskas, Moravian Academy director of theater, the show is at 7:30 p.m. March 3, 4 and 2 p.m. March 5, Dyer Auditorium, Moravian Academy, 4313 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township.
Yuskauskas is assisted by choreographer AlexJo Natale, music director Rob Riker, assistant music director Linda Himic and orchestra conductor Dr. Richard Fanning.
Music is by Mark Hollmann, lyrics by Hollmann and Greg Kotis, and book by Kotis.
Musical numbers include “Follow Your Heart,” “Cop Song” and “I See a River.” The 2003 Broadway production received nine Tony Award nominations, winning three including book and score.
