Rolland W. Rodgers, 96, of Kirkland Village, Bethlehem, died peacefully Feb. 5, 2017, at his residence with family by his side.

He was the husband of the late Ruth A. (Smith) Rodgers.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Oliver and Margaretta C. (Dietrich) Rodgers.

He and his wife founded Lighting Fixture and Supply Co., Allentown, in 1955, and worked there as owner and president until his retirement in 1992.

He was a past president of the Allentown Exchange Club and was active with the Masons.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.

His survivors include children David and wife, Maryann; Susan Brophy and husband, James, and Brenda Baxter and husband, Gary; grandchildren Lisa, Michele, Janice, Michael, Sarah and Laura; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his sister Calma Robbins.
