Union Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, will host an all-you-can-eat Italian dinner buffet 4-7 p.m. March 4.

The event is a fundraiser for church youth programs.

Menu includes salad, breadsticks, chicken Marsala, baked ziti, white vegetable ziti, pasta with Alfredo or marinara sauce and sausage.

Tickets, with a discount, may be purchased in the church office 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in advance.

They will also be available at the door.

Union Lutheran is running a used clothing collection to benefit youth ministries.

The church will accept clothing and shoes for people of all ages, accessories such as backpacks and purses, household items such as blankets and sheets, bicycles, and toys.

During the week of Feb. 27-March 3, items may be dropped off between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. On March 4, the collection goes from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Youth of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will serve the Shrove Tuesday pancake supper at 6 p.m. Feb. 28. Visitors are welcome to attend.

The young people will take charge of the worship services March 5.

Union UCC will offer a time of prayer, communion and ashes in the sanctuary from noon to 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 1, Ash Wednesday.

Another option is to drive by for ashes and a prayer in the parking lot at 8 a.m. or 5:30 p.m.

The Cancer Support Group of St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 23.

During these informal monthly meetings, people are invited to share their stories, experiences, hopes, fears and faith.
