Fire damages pellet stove in South Whitehall home

Volunteer firefighters from Woodlawn, Greenawalds and Cetronia fire departments were dispatched at 12:34 p.m. Feb. 7 for a dwelling fire at 1725 N. 21st. St., South Whitehall Township

According to South Whitehall Fire Marshal John Frantz, the fire was in the ash pan of a pellet stove in the home.

It was called under control shortly before 1 p.m., Frantz said.

“One adult and two children were in the home at the time of the fire,” Frantz said. “No injuries were reported.”

There was no damage to the home, he said.

According to Lehigh County assessment records, the home is owned by Jonathan E. Gaul.

South Whitehall Township police and Cetronia Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.
