David James Santmyer Jr., 47, of Wescosville, was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and alleged simple assault after an argument escalated in the 900 block of South Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Road, 11:30 p.m. Feb. 10. According to police, Santmyer struck another person with a baking sheet pan and a stove top grate during an argument at a residence in the 900 block of South Krocks Road. Santmyer allegedly fled the residence in his vehicle and traveled to another residence in the same block where he allegedly struck another person in the nose multiple times with a closed fist and broke several household items before leaving the residence in his vehicle. He then returned to the first residence where a traffic stop was conducted by state police and he was found allegedly to be driving his vehicle under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest for DUI and simple assault. Charges were filed, according to court records.
Khoty Walter Schoedler, 22, of Alburtis is charged with driving under the influence and attempting to flee or elude police and Jessica Ashleigh Miller, 25, of Pennsburg, is charged with attempting to flee or elude police after a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Brookside Road, 8:13 p.m. Jan. 30 when they allegedly tried to leave the scene. According to police, Schoedler fled the stop on foot but was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. Schoedler allegedly had an active arrest warrant from Berks County at the time and was under the influence of a controlled substance. Meanwhile, Miller, who allegedly was a passenger in the vehicle, got into the driver’s seat and attempted to flee the scene but was stopped by police. Charges were filed, according to court records.
Lisa Roberts Schaffer, 51, of Wescosville, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Brookside Road at Town Square Drive, 12:28 a.m. Jan. 29. Charges were filed, according to court records.
Jose Enrique Feliciano, 23, of Alburtis, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop at the Wawa convenience store, 3321 Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 2:56 a.m. Jan. 26. Charges were filed, according to court records.
Marie Corrine Smith, 52, of Macungie, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Hidden Valley Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:27 p.m. Jan. 21. Charges were filed, according to court documents.
Reported by a 48-year-old resident in the 7200 block of Steinsburg Road, Lower Milford Township, unknown actors used the resident’s credit card information to purchase items online July 1, 2016.
Reported by a 43-year-old male resident along October Glory Circle, Lower Milford Township, unknown actors used the resident’s personal information to attempt to withdraw money from his bank account Feb. 6.
Reported by a 35-year-old male in the 5500 block of Stonecroft Lane, Lower Macungie Township, a series of fraudulent charges were made on the man’s credit card between Dec. 12, 2016 and Feb. 7. The investigation continues.
Reported by a resident in the 7300 block of Carls Hill Road, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors struck the residence with eggs between 10 p.m. Feb. 10 and 4 p.m. Feb. 13.
Reported at a residence in the 2000 block of Four Seasons Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered a residence and removed items between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 23.
Joshua Sloley, 30, of Easton and Michael Boubert, 39, of Phillipsburg, N.J., are charged with felony retail theft after they allegedly selected multiple vacuum cleaners at the Target store, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 2 and Feb. 4 and left the store without paying for the vacuum cleaners. The vacuums taken Feb. 2 were valued at $1,124.97 and the vacuums taken Feb. 4 were valued at $2,299.96. Charges were filed, according to court records.
