Four league basketball champions were crowned Friday night as both Lehigh Valley area high school athletic conferences held finals.

The Allen boys and Bethlehem Catholic girls won titles in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference games, held at Freedom High School. Bangor boys and Southern Lehigh girls captured Colonial League crowns at Easton Middle School.

EPC BOYS

Bethlehem Catholic-Allen

The Canaries pulled out to a 46-23 halftime lead and never looked back, taking the title with an 82-64 victory.

Allen’s Talek Williams (20 points) and Tyrese Martin (19 points) led the way for No. 2 seed Allen, while teammates Tyrese Stewart and Javon Winslow added 10 points each.

Ryan Young (19 points) and Justin Paz (18 points) were the top scorers for Bethlehem Catholic, the No. 4 seed in the eight-team league tournament.

Allen (24-1) will be the top seed in the District 11 Class 6A boys tournament, which opens next Saturday, Feb. 25. The Hawks (18-6), which handed the Canaries their only loss of the season on Feb. 8, will be top seed in Class 4A with their first game coming on Friday.

EPC GIRLS

Easton-Bethlehem Catholic Top-seeded Bethlehem Catholic held off Easton, 45-40.

Niela Luma (12 points) and Taliyah Medina (11 points) accounted for over half the Golden Hawks’ scoring. Hope Brown and Tessa Zamolyi had seven points each for Bethlehem Catholic (23-1).

Gaby Bloshuk scored a game-high 13 points for the No. 2 seed Red Rovers (21-4).

COLONIAL LEAGUE BOYS

Southern Lehigh-Bangor

Bangor won its third straight league title with a 54-43 win over Southern Lehigh.

The top-seeded Slaters (23-1), which were 17-0 in league play, got a balanced scoring effort from the foursome of Dylan Benton (14 points), Seth Benton (13 points) and Anthony Schiavone (11 points) and Ben Holland (9 points).

The No. 2 seed Spartans (18-6) were led by Sean Welsh (13 points) and Kevin Patel (12 points).

COLONIAL LEAGUE GIRLS Notre Dame (Green Pond)-Southern Lehigh

Top-seeded Southern Lehigh beat the Crusaders 40-30.

Amanda Mobley scored a team-high 12 points for the Spartans (23-1), while teammates Avery Bennett and Olivia Snyder added eight points apiece.

Cailee Murphy poured in a game-high 15 points for No. 2 seed Notre Dame (19-5).
