Rolland Michael Houle, 37, of Allentown, was arrested for alleged simple assault after an argument escalated in a hotel room at the Wingate Hotel, 4325 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 9:55 p.m. Jan. 22. According to police, Houle grabbed, slapped and pinned a person down. Charges were filed, according to court records.

Reported by residents in the 6000 block of Garden Alley, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors entered a home and removed various jewelry items between Nov. 1, 2016 and Feb. 2.

Reported by a 59-year-old male in the 5500 block of Baumgartner Road, Upper Milford Township, $295 in property damage and possessions were taken between 7 p.m. Feb. 5 and 8:15 a.m. Feb. 6. Terrance Ricardo Rhibbs, 36, of Macungie, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after he was stopped for an alleged traffic violation on East Texas Road, north of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:55 p.m. Jan. 29. Charges were filed, according to court records.

Marie Corrine Smith, 52, of Macungie, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Hidden Valley Road, Lower Macungie Township, 10:27 p.m. Jan. 21. Charges were filed, according to court records.

Bradley Charles Buehler, 29, of Macungie, was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop for alleged numerous traffic violations on Sauerkraut Lane at Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:55 a.m. Jan. 23. Charges were filed, according to court records.

Jacob William McNellis, 21, of Wescosville, was charged with suspicion of driving under the influence after a two-vehicle accident 1:21 p.m. in the 5300 block of Town Square Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Nov. 19. Charges were filed, according to court records.

Reported by a 36-year-old woman, of Alburtis, at Kohl’s Department Store, 6900 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, an Apple iPhone 5s cellphone was removed from a fitting room at the department store between 10:55 and 11:15 a.m. Jan. 31. Reported by a 23-year-old male, of Quakertown, an unknown actor cashed or deposited a check in the Quakertown man’s name at People’s First, 7150 Trexlertown Road, Lower Macungie Township, Dec. 31, 2016.

Reported at ULTA Beauty in the 800 block of North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, three actors entered the store, removed items from shelves and racks, concealed the items and left the store without paying for the items approximately 2:20 p.m. Feb. 4.

Reported at ULTA Beauty in the 800 block of North Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, two actors entered the store and concealed eight lipsticks and other cosmetics in a sweatshirt and left the store without paying for the merchandise 3:15 p.m. Jan. 29.

Aaron Larry Van Horn, 33, of Bangor, was charged with retail theft after he allegedly took five train cars and three bags of train display pieces with a total value of $54.75 from a vendor’s booth at Zionsville Antique Mall, 7567 Chestnut St., Upper Milford Township. Charges were filed, according to court records.

Kimberly Marisol Barillas, 29, of Emmaus, was charged with retail theft after she allegedly removed merchandise valued at $60 from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, Feb. 4. Barillas was stopped by loss prevention personnel at the store. Charges were filed, according to court records.

Reported by a resident in the 5100 block of Spring Ridge Drive East, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and removed several items overnight Jan. 18.

Reported by two residents in the 5500 block of Wedge Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered an unlocked vehicle and removed belongings valued at approximately $50 overnight Jan. 18. Reported by several residents in the 1100 block of Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors trespassed onto private property and entered unlocked vehicles Oct. 22, 2016. Nothing was taken.

Reported by a resident in the 5200 block of Town Square Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors used the resident’s personal information to open a Sprint wireless account to purchase two Sprint iPad tablets and device insurance Jan. 17.

Reported by a resident in the 6800 block of Goor Street, Lower Macungie Township, an unknown actor accessed the resident’s bank account and made an unauthorized purchase Feb. 4.

Reported by a resident in the 5800 block of Shepherd Hills Avenue, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors used the resident’s personal information to attempt to open multiple credit card accounts between May 31, 2014 and Oct. 31, 2016. The investigation continues.

Reported by a 19-year-old male, of Coopersburg, in Lower Milford Township, an actor demanded money to prevent a video of an interaction being posted online Feb. 2.

Reported by an 81-year-old person at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 3 and 3:10 p.m. Feb. 8, an unknown actor failed to stop at a pedestrian crosswalk resulting in an exchange of words between the actor and the 81-year-old person. The unknown actor followed the 81-year-old person to his van in the parking lot at the store and once the victim arrived at his van the actor drove his vehicle toward the 81-year-old and accelerated, striking the shopping cart which in turn struck the complaintant. Police describe the actor as a white male in his late 40s to early 50s, driving a 2002-2007 maroon Jeep Liberty sport utility vehicle. Reported in the 7000 block of Foxglove Place, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors entered several unlocked vehicles and removed items overnigh Jan. 19.

Reported in the 6800 block of Sigmund Road, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors entered a garage and removed a 1996 Buell Lightning motorcycle between Dec. 20, 2016 and Feb. 3. Reported by a resident in the 2100 block of Elbow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors smashed a mailbox with an object between 1 and 4 p.m. Feb. 9. The total loss was $20 and the box was rendered unusable.

Reported at Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, a male actor entered the store with two other people and removed two Bluetooth® speakers and an iHome wireless speaker with a total value of $159.68 and fled the store 2:39 p.m. Feb. 12.

Reported by a resident in the 2500 block of Houghton Lean, Lower Macungie Township, actors used the resident’s debit card information to make purchases from two different music websites totaling $259.80. The transactions were flagged as fraudulent because the billing and shipping data did not match the resident’s current information. The investigation continues.

A resident in the 5300 block of Vera Cruz Road, Upper Milford Township, was sold a computer desktop firewall protection program by an unknown actor for $468 who then remotely accessed the resident’s bank accounts. The resident was asked to purchase 36 Apple iTune gift cards for a total value of $1,800 as a supposed refund for an overpayment he believed he was receiving after the unknown actor tampered with the account information. The unknown actor activated all of the gifts cards.
