Kerry Freedman, 41, of Coaldale, was charged with retail theft 3:52 p.m. Feb. 4, following an incident at Bon-Ton, 3300 Lehigh St. Police found Freedman running on the street followed by loss prevention personnel after Freedman allegedly removed eight ties valued at $474.50. He was apprehended and taken to Central Booking for processing.
Lawrence Benevento, 54, of Salisbury, was charged with simple assault and harassment following an incident 7:54 a.m. Feb. 5, in the 2800 block of Windy Hill Road. Benevento allegedly threw the victim on the bed and choked her. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Jane Goodman, 87, of Allentown, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct 2:14 p.m. Feb. 5, following an incident at the South Mall Mercantile, 3300 Lehigh St.
A resident in the 1600 block of Cardinal Drive, reported 12:30 p.m. Feb. 6, an unknown person shattered a vehicle windshield with a BB gun.
A resident in the 1700 block of Graham Street reported 1:15 p.m. Feb. 6, an unknown person shattered two passenger side vehicle windows with a BB gun.
A resident in the 1400 block of Constitution Drive reported 6 p.m. Feb. 6, an unknown person shattered windows of a vehicle.
A resident in the 1000 block of Public Road reported 11:43 a.m. Feb. 7, an unknown person shattered a rear kitchen window.
Police were called to Lehigh Valley Health Network - Cedar Crest, 1200 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., 7:56 p.m. Feb. 7, for the report of a smashed rear window in the “U” parking lot.
A resident in the 900 block of Public Road reported 8 a.m. Feb. 8, a rear passenger side window of a vehicle was shattered. Weapons offense
Joseph Schwarcz, 53, of Salisbury, was charged with a weapons offense 5:02 p.m. Feb. 6, after being found in possession of weapons in the home in the 1300 block of Garden Avenue. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
A student’s iPhone was stolen from Arts Academy Charter Middle School, 1610 E. Emmaus Ave., 8:45 a.m. Feb. 6. Police are investigating.
Kenneth Jordan, 23, of Allentown, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after allegedly removing $56 from an employee’s wallet in the break room. Jordan was a member of the cleaning staff.
Jason Calvaresi, 31, of Reading, was served a warrant at Chuck E Cheese, 1000 Lehigh Valley Mall, Whitehall, 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7. Calvaresi was charged with indirect criminal attempt following an alleged Protection from Abuse order violation. He was taken to Central Booking for processing.
Cliff Werkheiser, 36, of Allentown, was charged with suspicion of driving under a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia 2:08 a.m. Feb. 7 in the 3300 block of Lehigh Street. Police found Werkheiser slumped over the steering wheel with the vehicle running and the reverse lights on. The window was open. Police awakened Werkheiser who was taken to Central Booking for processing.
A 13-year-old female student at Arts Academy Charter Middle School, 1610 E. Emmaus Ave., was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment 11:20 a.m. Feb. 8, after allegedly being involved in a fight with another student at the lunch line and punching the student.
A resident in the 2700 block of Andrea Drive reported 1 p.m. Feb. 9, an unknown person used the resident’s social security number to open charge accounts at Home Depot, Kohls and T-Mobile in New Jersey and Delaware. Charges amount to $6,000. The resident found the charges by checking a credit report.
