At the regular 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4 Public Library of Catasauqua storytime, the library has scheduled its first “Read to a Dog” experience. Every first Saturday of the month, the library will welcome dogs and their masters from Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs.
At this time, children may read as little or much as they wish from books of their choosing, and they may freely interact with the dogs, who are all certified therapy dogs.
“Read to a Dog” is a nationwide program which, research has shown, builds the confidence that helps children learn to read. It’s that unconditional approval factor!
