Bring the family to Emmaus Feb. 3 and 4 to enjoy the free, community-wide art related events at the Emmaus Arts Commission’s SnowBlast Arts Festival.

The festival features artist demonstrations, music, a SnowBlast art show and sale, the SnowBlast Ice Princess, a chainsaw wood carver, the Burning Hearts Fire and Light Theater, demonstrations by Lehigh Valley Martial Arts, children’s games, fire pits and more at various venues throughout the borough. Artists will be featured at various stores and restaurants. All the participating businesses will have an art walk palette on their door. Stop in at the SnowBlast Festival’s headquarters at the former Elephant’s Trunk building across from Triangle Park, 348 Main St., for schedules and other information.

All the planned activities Feb. 3 will be held indoors. Among them, the Emmaus Historical Society, 218 Main St., will be open 5:30 to 8 p.m. for wine and cheese refreshments. Stop and enjoy watching artist Bob Boehmer at work.

The SnowBlast Winter Arts Festival art show and sale will be held 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 3 and noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Community Center for the Arts Gallery on the second floor of Emmaus Borough Hall, 28 S. Fourth St. Entries for the art show will be accepted 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 3 at borough hall’s main floor lobby. For information, visit www.emmausarts.org.

Winter Wonderland exhibits, displays and photos of historic local blizzards will be the features at the historical society museum, 218 Main St., noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 4. From 1 to 3 p.m., the society will host performances by students of the Studio of Ariel Scholz.

The Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St., will host the Ice Princess 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 4. She’ll help with story times and crafts. At 2 p.m. the library will show the movie “Frozen” (2014) PG, 102 minutes.

The Emmaus Farmers Winter Market in the BB&T parking lot, 235 Main St., will be open 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 5 and 19. The winter market is open the second and fourth Sundays of the month. For more information, visit emmausmarket.com.

Emmaus Borough Council will meet 7 p.m. Feb. 6 and 21. Please note Feb. 21 is a Tuesday rather than the regular Monday meeting time due to the Feb. 20 Presidents’ Holiday. Borough offices are closed Feb. 20.

Free Zumba is offered 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays at Faith Presbyterian Church, North Second and Cherokee streets.

The monthly meeting for the Emmaus Historical Society will be 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at St. John’s Lutheran Church parish hall. The society is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a program, “The Emaus High Alumni-The Early Years (1890-1915),” presented by Andrew Kerstetter and Bill Barto.

The historical society and the Emmaus Main Street Partners will host a Dazzle & Dollars Bingo fundraiser 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church parish hall, 501 Chestnut St. Doors and snack bar open 1 p.m. The event features cash and diamond jewelry prizes and cash and basket raffles. There is a minimal cost for tickets which are on sale at David’s Electric, 314 Main St., the Emmaus Jewel Shop, 338 Main St. and at the door if available.

Story times, block parties and book clubs continue through February at the Emmaus Public Library. For schedules, visit www.emmauspl.org or call 610-965-9284. Highlights for the month include Homeschool Share Fair: Book Report, 11 a.m. Feb. 6 and Books and Barks, 7:45 p.m. Feb. 23.

Adult programs include the basic computer classes 10:05 a.m. each Thursday; the day time book group, 2 p.m. Feb. 8; the knitting group, 2 p.m. Feb 13 and the evening book discussion group, 7 p.m. Feb. 14. The adult movie matinee (PG-13) will be shown 1 p.m. Feb. 23.

The Emmaus Senior Citizen’s group meets 1 p.m. every Friday at St. Matthew’s E.C. Church, Fifth and Ridge streets. All area senior citizens are welcome to attend. The February programs are Feb. 3: a film; Feb. 10: Wear red for Valentine’s Day. Musician Glen Pritchard will entertain; Feb. 17: In honor of Presidents Day, wear red, white and blue. Musician Fred Arnold will entertain. Feb. 24 is game day.
