A winter dismissal reminder for parents: In the case of upcoming inclement weather, the district encourages parents to discuss arrangements with their children in case of early dismissals. Plan with your child what to do in case of an emergency. It is helpful to listen to daily weather reports for situations that may affect the school schedules. Decide what radio and TV stations to listen to or check the school website, whitehallcoplay.org.
During bad weather, the district will implement one of the following plans: Schools may be closed for the day, have a delayed opening or close early in the day.
In the event of a two-hour delay, the modified kindergarten schedule will be used.
The modified kindergarten schedule in the event of school delays is as follows:
Morning kindergarten starts 10:50 a.m. and ends 12:40 p.m.
Afternoon kindergarten starts 1:25 p.m. and ends 3:15 p.m.
For the modified kindergarten schedule, the bus for afternoon children will arrive approximately 50-60 minutes later than the regular pickup time for school.
