George Paluda

George Paluda, 89, of Northampton, died Dec. 22, 2016, at home. He was the husband of Anna T. (Kornfeind) Paluda for 65 years.

Born in Egypt, he was the son of the late Michael Yovich and Anna (Rusin) Paluda.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He worked for Jones Motor Company for 35 years as a truck driver. He was a member of Teamsters 773.

He was a lifelong member of Catholic War Veterans Post 454 and Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton, where he served as an usher.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Marianne and her husband Kenneth Morgan, Jane Paluda and her companion Richard and Annie and her husband Phil Stephens; grandsons, Patrick Morgan and his wife Lee Ann and Taylor Stephens; three great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters.

Contributions may be made to the church, c/o funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton.
