Northampton Exchange Club at the Dec. 7, 2016, Service to Youth program held at Northampton Banquet & Event Center lauded four Northampton Area High School seniors. Elizabeth Horn, Jessica Fantasia, Conlan Keefe and Kyle Serman were awarded for their outstanding academic and scholastic achievements and service to the school and community.

Cited by the club, the recipients were presented Youth of the Month certificates and Lamps of Knowledge plaques.

Dr. Rodger Berg, program chairman, said the four seniors demonstrate leadership, responsibility and talent needed to succeed. He said the four honorees established the way they were going to conduct themselves at a very early age and credited their parents for the role they play in their child’s development.

Elizabeth Horn, November Girl of the Month, is part of National Honor Society, Newspaper Club (editor-in-chief), Debate Club, Mock Trial, Spanish Club, Northampton Current Event Club, Equestrian Club (four world champion titles) and Appalosa Youth Association Board of Directors.

Conlan Keefe, November Boy of the Month, is part of National Honor Society (treasurer), DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America), Outdoor Club, P.E. Club and Power of the Cinema.

Jessica Fantasia, December Girl of the Month, is part of National Honor Society, Lafayette College High School Scholars Program, Library Club (vice president) and Volunteer Club (secretary). She is a peer tutor at Siegfried Elementary School and a volunteer with Judith’s Reading Room and Easton Public Library.

Kyle Serman, December Boy of the Month, is part of National Honor Society, NAHS baseball team, Scholastic Scrimmage, Chess Club, Math Club (vice president), P.E. Club and Movie Club. He is a volunteer for the local food bank.
