Lynn Township board reorganizes for 2017

Lynn Township supervisors met Jan. 3 for their annual reorganization meeting.

Justin Smith was appointed chairman of the board and Steve Feinour was selected vice chairman.

The third supervisor is Brian Dietrich.

Tammy White was named secretary/treasurer with Kathy Hermany appointed to the position of assistant secretary/treasurer.

Marc Fisher was again given the nod for township solicitor. John O. Stover Jr. was selected to be conflict counsel.

Keystone Consulting Engineers, with Chris Noll as representative, was selected as the township engineering firm.

Supervisors’ meetings will be 6:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month.

The annual closeout meeting is scheduled for Dec. 27.

Several resolutions were adopted relating to the establishment of accounts with the New Tripoli Bank.

Resolutions adopting the user fees and the schedule for engineering and consulting work were adopted.

Other resolutions were adopted to appoint members to certain commissions.

Willard Dellicker and Perry Long were appointed to the township planning commission and Willard Wanamaker was given a seat on the zoning hearing board.

Barry Mantz was appointed to the building code of appeals board for a 5-year term.

Sewage Enforcement Officer will be Scott Bieber with Chris Noll as alternate.

Barry Isett, Blue Mountain and Keller Zoning were appointed as building inspectors.

Kathy Hermany will be the building code 0fficial with Ann Lett of Barry Isett Associates as alternate.

Kevin Baer will be the emergency management coordinator. Josh Bingham will be deputy EMC.

Bruce Raber will again be roadmaster with Joseph Wisser serving as assistant roadmaster.

Berkheimer and Associates will be the EIT tax collector for the year.

Justin Smith will represent the township on the Northwestern Recreation Commission.

Brian Dietrich will be the representative on the agricultural land preservation board with Steve Feinour delegated to be on the Crime Watch committee and the Jordan Creek Water Shed Committee.

Justin Smith will be on the County COG committee with Steve Feinour representative to the Emergency Services Steering Committee.

Kermit Delong will be on the vacancy board.

Raber gave a short report to the board on activity of the road crew.

He said trees were trimmed and brush cut at various places, equipment was repaired, markers were installed at culvert pipes, roads were plowed and treated, boom mowing and trimming around poles and signs were all performed in December 2016.
