SALISBURY TOWNSHIP BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 2017 Pension Fund payments approved for police, non-uniformed employees

Contribution rates in 2017 to the police and non-uniformed employee pension contributions have been set in Salisbury Township.

The Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners voted unanimously 5-0 at the Dec. 22, 2016, meeting to approve the contribution rates.

The contribution is 3.04 percent of an annual police officer’s salary. The contribution is waived for non-uniformed employees.

Commissioner Joanne Ackerman made the motion, seconded by Commissioner James Seagreaves.

In other business at the Dec. 22, 2016 meeting, commissioners voted 5-0 to:

Authorize Payment No. 1 to Joao & Bradley Construction Co., Bethlehem, for Contract A, Potomac Street Water Main Replacement, at a cost of $459,870.30, and Contract B, Trout Creek Interceptor Sanitary Sewer Relocation Project, at a cost of $162,612.69, for a total of $622,482.99.

Commissioner Vice President Robert Martucci Jr. made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Debra Brinton.;

Authorize Change Order No. 1 for the Kline Avenue Storm Sewer Project in the amount of $43,910.

Ackerman made the motion, seconded by Commissioner James Seagreaves, and

Authorize Payment No. 1 to Joao & Bradley for the Kline Avenue Storm Sewer Project at a cost of $202,207.50.

Ackerman made the motion, seconded by Brinton.

At the Dec. 8, 2016, meeting, the Salisbury Township Board of Commissioners voted unanimously 5-0 to:

Approve Payment No., 2, the final payment, $14,421.80, for Phase II of the Sanitary Sewer Project to Tri-State Grouting, LLC, Newark, Del.

Martucci made the motion, seconded by Ackerman;

Authorize Township Manager Randy Soriano to complete a Lehigh Valley Planning Commission municipal park, outdoor recreation and open space survey.

Brown made the motion, seconded by Seagreaves, and

Approve the change in contract name from RCN Telecom Services, Lehigh, LLC, to Radiate Hold, LLC, a subsidiary of Radiate Holdings, LP, Delaware.

Seagreaves made the motion, seconded by Ackerman.
