Donald L. Bergstresser, 68, of Allentown, died peacefully Dec. 23, 2016, at ManorCare Health Care, Allentown. He was the husband of Jennifer Bergstresser for over 19 years. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Margaret (Miller) and Harvey Francis David Bergstresser.

He served in the US. Army during the Vietnam War and also worked as a tugboat mechanic. He later worked as a mechanical engineer for Drager Medical, retiring in 2009. In his retirement, he also worked part time at the Tractor Supply store in Trexlertown.

He was an avid deep sea fisherman and Harley rider and was a member of the Warrior Watch Riders.

He loved his gardens and raised prize-winning hot peppers and canned goods.

He is survived by his wife; son, Brendan, of Allentown.
