The Bears beat the Trojans 49-40 to win the Boyertown Holiday Tournament.

Abby Kapp scored a game-high 16 points to lead the hosts.

Parkland’s Rachel Medlar led her team with 13 points, while Emily Piston scored 11.

WRESTLING

Toni Iasiello Christmas City Tournament

Bethlehem Catholic cruised to a win at it’s annual tournament with 279 team points. Athens Area earned second place at 166.

The hosts crowned five champions as Kenny Herrmann (113), Cole Handlovic (126), Mikey Labriola (182), Jody Crouse (195) and Niko Camacho (285) earned tournament titles for the Golden Hawks.

SWIMMING

Central Catholic-Salisbury

The Vikings swept the Falcons in a nonleague swim meet.

Central’s girls team won 121-46. Angela Castano finished first in two individual events while also anchoring a pair of winning relays for the Vikings, while teammate Nicole O’Neill also won two individual events.

Salisbury’s Sarah Bobeck won two individual events in the meet.

The Viking boys team won 107-66. Central’s Gabe Castano set pool records in 100 free (46.88) and 50 free (21.72 in 200 free relay lead off), while winning a pair of individual events.

Salisbury’s Mahlon Reihman and Ben Wiener each won a pair of individual events in the meet.
