U.S. News & World Report, a leading expert in the evaluation and rating of health care providers across the country, has named Fellowship Manor, Whitehall, as one of the Best Nursing Homes for 2016-17. Fellowship Manor received a 5 out of 5-star rating.
Fellowship Manor is one of the few nursing homes to be named a Best Nursing Homes 2016-17. Only 9 percent of nursing homes in Pennsylvania and 13 percent in the nation were awarded the designation.
“The dedication of our staff to ensuring excellence in resident-centered care has been the catalyst to our receipt of this prestigious designation,” said Donna Conley, Chief Operating Officer of Fellowship Community.
U.S. News evaluated more than 15,000 homes nationwide, across each state and in 100 major metropolitan areas. Comprehensive information about care, safety, health inspections, staffing and more of nearly every nursing home in the nation was examined to determine the ratings.
Fellowship Community is a continuing care retirement community that provides Christ-centered caring for seniors. It offers independent living townhomes and apartments, personal care, a nursing care center, post-acute care and memory care.
The nursing care center, Fellowship Manor, is continually accredited with a Gold Seal of Approval and Post-Acute Care Certification by The Joint Commission for quality care and outstanding patient safety. It has received recognition as a 5-star rating from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid and the American College of Health Care Administrators Leadership Award for top performing long term care organizations.
Fellowship Community has received national and local recognition for excellence in care. Fellowship Manor has been recognized by US News Best Nursing Homes based on health inspections, level of nurse staffing and quality of care and the Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best for Extended Care.
