STUDENT OF THE WEEK

Q. What grade are you in?

A. I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is physics. I enjoy it because it teaches me how and why things act in the ways they do in our world.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I am a member of National Honor Society and German National Honor Society. I also have been named to Principal’s Honor Roll. I won Player’s Player for the swim team and have been a member of the district and state swim teams since freshman year.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. Some extracurricular activities I am involved in are the Emmaus High School swim team, Emmaus Aquatic Club, Boy Scouts, National Honor Society, Pennsylvania Math League and American Computer Science League.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My next goal after high school is to work toward an engineering degree at a four-year university.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. I think the biggest challenge for me has been balancing everything in my life. It has been a constant push and pull between school, swimming, Scouts, friends and family throughout my entire time, but I think in the end I managed it well.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I want to be remembered as someone who always had time for the people who needed it.

Q. Who is in your family?

A. My father Christopher, my mother Suzanne, my sister Kathryn, my brother Ryan and my dog Cinnamon.

Q. Whom do you admire? Why?

A. I admire my parents. Both of them put their all into everything they do and I strive to follow what they have taught me and do it myself.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice to my peers is to try your best. Through your time in high school there will be many opportunities to lose focus and start to not care, but continuing to look forward and work hard will make it all easier in the end.
