Heather Lee Belles, 47, of Summit Hill, was taken into custody after a traffic stop for an equipment violation along Hidden Valley Road at Minesite Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:49 a.m. Nov. 19. According to police, Belles was driving under alleged suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and controlled substances, Belles also allegedly was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Charges were filed.
Alex James Beasley, 18, of Allentown, allegedly was found to be under the influence of marijuana and in posession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Hamilton Boulevard at Lower Macungie Road, 11:53 p.m. Nov. 16. Charges were filed.
Dennis Donald Gaugler, 37, of Emmaus, was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to flee from police during a traffic stop on Mill Road at Shimerville Road, Upper Milford Township, 9:25 p.m. Dec. 7. According to police, Gaugler had been stopped for traffic violations when he allegedly exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. He was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. Police found a tinfoil smoking device in his vehicle. Gaugler allegedly told police he was drinking prior to the traffic stop. Additional charges filed against Gaugler include resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.
Christopher Robert Keys, 58, of Macungie, was charged with allegedly driving under the influence and several other traffic violations after an incident in Lower Macungie Township 5:16 p.m. Nov. 24. According to police, Keys consumed multiple alcoholic beverages and proceeded to drive from his home to the Speedway gas station, Mill Creek Road at Hickory Lane, Lower Macungie Township. Keys allegedly was stopped at a red signal at the intersection, placed his vehicle in reverse and struck the vehicle to the rear. He then allegedly fled the scene and was followed by the vehicle he struck. The vehicles pulled into the gas station where the occupants of the second vehicle confronted Keys and he allegedly brandished a knife. According to court records, charges filed include driving under the influence, harassment, careless driving and traffic violations.
Jeannie Marie Paiz, 36, of Whitehall, was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence after an alleged traffic stop on Hamilton Boulevard at Brookside Road, Lower Macungiue Township, 1:23 a.m. Dec. 4. Charges were filed.
John Perry Melchior, 23, of Emmaus, was taken into custody under alleged suspicion of driving under the influence after a traffic stop on Lower Macungie Road at Little Spur Road, Lower Macungie Township, 1:58 a.m. Dec. 3.
Reported by a resident in the 7400 block of Chestnut Hill Church Road, Lower Milford Township, an unknown actor removed a saw and tools from the residence between Oct, 17 and Nov. 18.
Reported by a resident of the 4400 block of Fairview Lane, Upper Milford Township, unknown actors removed jewelry from the residence while the resident was in the process moving between Oct. 14 and Oct. 17.
Reported by a 24-year-old female, of Bethlehem, at Metro Beauty Academy, 4977 Medical Center Circle, Lower Macungie Township, 40 Percocet 10 mg tablets and $20 cash were taken from her purse when it was left in a classroom between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Nov. 29.
Carmen Julia Ortiz, 45, of Allentown, was charged with retail theft and theft by deception, according to court records, after she allegedly used old receipts to return items not purchased from Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3 p.m. Dec. 2.
Reported along Canterbury Drive, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed and damaged numerous holiday decorations from front yards of multiple residences overnight Dec. 18.
Reported by a resident in the 5500 block of Tanglewood Lane, Lower Macungie Township, unknown actors removed Christmas decorations from a yard overnight Dec.15.
