Upper Macungie Township, along with Air Products, LeSavoy Butz, Seitz, attorneys at law, and Crayola is hosting a free Noon Year’s Eve celebration for kids 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Dec. 31 at Independent Park, 150 Independent Road, Breinigsville.

There will be music, activities, games, giveaways, light refreshments and a balloon drop at noon. Special guests include Dazzling Doodles Face Painting and DJ JJ Sands.

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, will host a writing workshop “What’s Your Story” 3 p.m. Dec. 27. The workshop will teach how to write memoirs.

The Joy of Coloring class is set for 3 p.m. Dec. 28. The library will provide coloring pages and pencils.

Technical Tuesday will be 3-4 p.m. Jan. 3, 2017, at Luther Crest retirement community, 800 Hausman Road, South Whitehall.

The church will offer a candlelight service of Holy Communion 9 p.m. Dec. 24.
