Frances E. (Gnas) Peters, 69, of Northampton, died Dec. 16, 2016, in her home. She was the wife of William J. Peters Jr. for 48 years.

Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Frank T. and Elizabeth V. (Gusick) Gnas.

She was an assembler at Team Imaging Inc., Hanover Township, for several years and retired in 2002. Prior to that, she was a nurse’s aide at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, for 11 years; she was a presser and floor worker at various textile mills for several years.

She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Shane J. of Northampton; a sister, Patricia J. and her husband Joseph Lettich of Bethlehem; a brother, Anthony A. and his wife Barbara Gnas of Slatington; and two grandchildren, Alyson M. and Ryan W. Peters.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Gina Marie Peters.
