NORTH WHITEHALL TWP Churches having Christmas services

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station, will have a family service with children’s message 6 p.m. Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.

The traditional candlelight service will take place at 8 p.m.

Come early to hear special music, 20 minutes before both services, by the choir led by Director Donna Henninger.

The youth group is selling a variety of Christmas candy, including milk and dark chocolate covered peanuts, raisins and pretzels.

There are also reindeer munch, walnut bark and several kinds of white chocolate covered items available.

St. John’s will have its regular 10:15 a.m. worship time on Dec. 25.

Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, will feature a service of lessons and carols at the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services Dec. 18.

Special music will be provided by the church choirs, chime group and soloists.

The message for the day will be “The Redemption of Scrooge” taken from a book by Matt Rawle.

All are invited to spend the afternoon caroling to take Christmas cheer to homes of members and friends.

Union UCC will have candlelight services at 3 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Dec. 24, Christmas Eve.

Holy Communion and candlelight will be offered at all services.

On Christmas Day, Dec. 25, the worship time will be 10 a.m.

Schnecksville Fire Company will have a flea market 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 18 in the pavilion.
